Tickets can only be picked up at the designated time on your reserved day — no other dates or times are available, and we cannot take responsibility for missed pick-ups.

Start your journey at Ryogoku Station, where your English-speaking guide will lead you on a walking tour through the area’s most iconic sumo landmarks — from Eko‑in Temple to the Kyu‑Yasuda Garden, and then to the Sumo Museum located inside Ryogoku Kokugikan. Learn about the history, culture, and spiritual traditions of sumo that make this sport so unique.
During the walking tour, you will use an audio earphone guide system, allowing you to hear your guide’s explanations clearly and in greater detail — creating a more immersive and informative experience.
After visiting the museum, your guide will escort you directly to your seat inside Ryogoku Kokugikan, the home of sumo wrestling. You will also enjoy live commentary during the tournament, delivered through your earphone guide system. Your guide will point out important moments, rituals, champion ranks, and what to watch for — helping you fully appreciate the unique atmosphere and dramatic intensity of the September Grand Sumo Tournament (Ōzumō Tokyo Basho).

Important Information
Please note that you may need to wait to be seated if one of the following events is underway: a sumo match, a speech by the Sumo Association (on the last tournament day), the ring procession of the Makuuchi division wrestlers (dohyoiri), the ring entering procession of the Yokozuna, or the ritual stomping ceremony (on the last tournament day). In such cases, please wait until the event concludes before proceeding to your spectator seating.
Suitcases and other large pieces of luggage cannot be brought into the seating area. Please store your luggage in advance at another location (e.g., coin lockers) or at your accommodation.

Eating and drinking
・Eating and drinking are allowed in the seating area. ・Food and beverages will be sold at the concession stand. Please note that food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages, brought from outside are not allowed in the Kokugikan. Kindly purchase food and beverages at the concession stand inside the arena. You will be happy to know that the prices of the items sold inside are pretty much similar to those found in any place in Tokyo.

・Please refrain from waiting around the venue for rikishi (sumo wrestlers) to enter or exit the arena, as it may cause inconvenience to nearby residents. ・No parking is available. ・Spectators are not allowed to watch the matches from seats other than their assigned ones. ・Please set your cell phone to silent mode and refrain from talking on it while in the audience. ・Please avoid obstructing the view of others when displaying cheering banners or towels. ・Throwing cushions is strictly prohibited as it may cause injury or other issues. ・Guests who arrive late for the meeting time will have their reservations canceled.

Please note that Google Maps may display the location as “Edo Noren.”, however, the correct meeting point is near the “BECK'S COFFEE SHOP,” outside the JR ticket gate, as shown in the photo.
Our guide will be waiting at the meeting point holding a sign that says “HIS.” ^ Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your departure time to check in.
