Ideyu-zaka: The Heart of the Steam Town Ideyu-zaka, or "Gushing Spring Slope," is the nostalgic main street of Kannawa, where time seems to have slowed down. As you walk down this charming stone-paved path, you’ll be immersed in a retro atmosphere filled with traditional wooden inns and the constant, gentle hiss of white steam rising from the gutters. For centuries, this street has been the heart of "Toji" culture, where travelers come to heal their bodies in the mineral-rich waters. Today, you can still feel that timeless spirit as you encounter warm-hearted locals, hidden foot baths, and the comforting scent of geothermal steam that defines this unique village.
