Shamisen is a typical Japanese traditional musical instrument that plays a sound by strumming on a string with a plectrum shaped like a ginkgo leaf. The rich sound and tone of the unique tuning method are still popular with many music lovers today.
Enjoy learning about and playing a traditional Japanese three-stringed instrument, the shamisen. First, the instructor will explain the history of the shamisen and how to play it. Under the guidance our skilled instructor, you will become a shamisen player in no time! And no worries, you can play without any experience.
Standard time: about 50 minutes
■ The operating time shall be from 10:00 to 17:00 (end of experience). ■ Basically, sharing seats is assumed. ■ Children under 12 years old are not allowed to experience the tour and cannot be present, but they can be present if the tour is reserved for a private tour. ■ Languages Spoken by Instructors: English & Japanese
■ If you are late, you will be asked to start the tour in the middle of the tour, or the tour will be shortened, or you will not be allowed to participate in the tour. ■ Please come to the designated place 10 minutes before the reserved time. ■ Attendants other than staff such as chaperones, interpreters, photographers, etc. are required to pay the experience fee. ■ The number of staff in attendance should be the minimum number required.
