The journey continues to Uji to admire the iconic Byodo-in Phoenix Hall before concluding with a hands-on, authentic matcha-making experience in the heart of Japan's tea capital.
Embark on a captivating journey from Kyoto to Nara. Don't miss Nara's must-see landmarks and try making Matcha tea in Uji, the birthplace of matcha. First, we will drive past Fushimi Castle and Heijokyo castle on the way to Nara. We will visit Kasuga Taisha shrine, adorned with 3,000 magical stone lanterns. Stroll through Nara Park, mingling with 1,400 friendly deer, and savor the moment as they bow to you. Next experience the grandeur of Todaiji Temple, home to one of the world's tallest Buddha statue. After lunch, we will head to the Byodo-in Phoenix Hall, depicted on the back of the 10-yen Japanese coin at Uji. Last but not least, we will head to the Uji area in Kyoto and try making authentic Uji matcha tea.
