After a long and arduous journey, pilgrims arrive at this grand head shrine, which exudes a deeply spiritual, ancient atmosphere unlike any other. Today, this vast, sacred clearing is home to Japan’s tallest Otorii (Grand Gate), standing at a breathtaking 33 meters high.
