The Experience

  • Izu Shaboten Zoo : Where Animals Roam & Adventure Awaits Discover a captivating world at Izu Shaboten Zoo, offering truly unique animal interactions! Enjoy the excitement of directly feeding capybaras, kangaroos, and other fascinating animals. Adding to the park's charm, peacocks and squirrel monkeys roam freely, creating a lively, immersive environment. The crowning jewel is Japan's groundbreaking Animal Boat Tour! This incredibly rare exhibition method takes you on a guided boat ride through the park's central pond, circling nine distinct islands. Here, you'll witness various monkey species, including squirrel monkeys, ring-tailed lemurs, brown lemurs, and Jeffrey spider monkeys, living authentically on their island homes. The scenic tour also brings you past flamingos and capybaras along the coast, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and an exciting sense of discovery. Beyond the animal encounters, you'll find convenient souvenir shops and a selection of restaurants to enhance your day.
  • Mt. Omuro : Panoramic Views & Ancient Charm Dive into the world of that anime you know and love! Rising majestically to 580m, Mt. Omuro is a striking, perfectly conical volcano that offers an incredible experience. A walking path around its 300m-wide crater provides breathtaking 360° panoramic views, sweeping across Ito City, the Izu Islands, and Mt. Amagi. On clear days, you can even spot the iconic Mt. Fuji and the majestic Southern Japanese Alps! Formed by an ancient eruption, this unique mountain is not only a natural wonder but is also revered as the home of a gentle deity, adding a touch of spiritual charm to its impressive form.
  • Kinomiya Shrine : Spiritual Sanctuary & Ancient Wonder Step into the serene and mystical world of Kinomiya Shrine, a truly unique sanctuary known for its profound natural beauty. The absolute highlight here is the magnificent Ogusu Tree, a colossal camphor tree said to be over 2,000 years old and revered as a powerful spiritual spot and symbol of longevity.

As you wander through a picturesque row of vibrant red torii gates, you'll find yourself immersed in a tranquil environment surrounded by lush greenery and soothing water. This ancient shrine has been worshipped since time immemorial as a deity of good fortune and good luck, offering a peaceful retreat. Afterward, unwind at the cozy on-site café, where you can enjoy ice cream, green tea, or even a local alcoholic beverage to complete your visit.
