In this course, you will be on the trail for a short period of three days, experiencing a variety of landscapes. Along the way, you will be able to experience the beauty of the local landscape in each of the four seasons. The course is not only about the scenery, but also about interacting with the local people and tasting local products through meals.
The Experience
Course Difficulty ★★☆☆☆ Day 1 Hiking Distance: about 8.5㎞ Total Incline 15m Decent 15ｍ Hiking time: about 2.5hrs Trail type: paved pathways/on road
- Meet at Sendai Station and transfer to Natori city. Today we will start the day with a visit to the Natori Trail Centre to learn more about this trail. After this we will enjoy hiking the Natori area, with lunch at a local restaurant and finish with a visit to the Arahama Elementary School that was damaged in the Tsunami in 2011. Stay overnight in Matsushima area. Day 2 Hiking Distance: about 4㎞ Total Incline 77m Decent 82ｍ Hiking time: about 2.5hrs plus boat transfer time Trail type: mix of paved pathways/on road and unpaved sections.
- Depart hotel. Today we will hike the beautiful Urato Shoto Island area off the coast of Matsushima Bay. Tonight enjoy a special dinner paired with the local sake. Stay overnight in Kesennuma area. Day 3 Hiking Distance: about 13㎞ Total Incline 370m Decent 370ｍ Hiking time: about 5hrs Trail type: mix of unpaved trail sections and some paved pathways
- Depart hotel. Today we will hike around the Kesennuma Oshima Island, where you can see beautiful views of the bay from the lookout at Kameyama Mt. Finish at Sendai station at around 17:30pm

Day 1
- Include: Lunch, Dinner
- 08:5008:50 Meet at Sendai Station and transfer to Natori city. Today we will start the day with a visit to the Natori Trail Centre to learn more about this trail. 10:20 Orientation at Natori Trail Center after Michinoku Shiokaze Trail Natori Trail Center - Arahama Elementary School.
- 15:00Visit to the former Arahama Elementary School 16:00 Transfer by vehicle to the hotel 16:40 Arrival at hotel, check-in Dinner at hotel or local restaurant
Day 2
- Include: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
- 10:00Breakfast Japanese set menu with local ingredients at the hotel. 10:00 Depart hotel. Today we will hike the beautiful Urato Shoto Island area off the coast of Matsushima Bay
- 11:00Michinoku Shiogama - Katsurajima - Nonoshima - Miyato (island hopping) 12:20 Lunch box lunch on the way to the trail
- 17:30Enjoy a special dinner paired with local sake at KESENNUMA BREWER'S TABL. 20:15 Arrive at the Hotel and check in Stay overnight in Kesennuma area.
Day 3
- Include: Breakfast, Lunch
- 09:10Japanese and Western buffet breakfast at the hotel 09:10 Depart hotel. Today we will hike around the Kesennuma Oshima Island, where you can see beautiful views of the bay from the lookout at Kameyama Mt. ～Michinoku Shiokaze Trail Tatsumaizaki - kameyama Mt ～ After lunch on the way to the trail, the tour ends after arriving at Sendai Station.
