Kamikochi Kamikochi is located in Nagano prefecture in Japan, and mountainous scenic area at an elevation of approximately 1,500 meters. It is also part of the Chubu Sangaku National Park and is designated as a national special scenic beauty spot and a special natural monument.
From Kappa Bridge, which spans the Azusa River flowing through a valley in the Hida Mountains (North Alps), the 3,000-meter-high Hotaka mountain range can be seen. There are also a lot of view points and popular walking trails in the surrounding area where visitors can enjoy various magnificent views, and 1.5 million people every year.

- No bus guide or tour guide will accompany the tour, so please gather at the meeting point after exploring on your own.
About the Kamikochi get off location There are 3 spots to get down from bus when you arrive at Kamikochi. The bus stops Taishoikemae, Kamikochi Imperial Hotel, and at Kamikochi Bus Terminal, in that order. If you get off Taishoikemae or Kamikochi Teikoku Hotel, you have to come to Kamikochi Bus Terminal as there is only one place to catch the return bus.
