- Step into the nostalgic world of Magome-juku, the 43rd station on the Nakasendo, bustling during the Edo period. This stone-paved town offers inns, shops with freshly made senbei, oyaki, gohei mochi, and souvenirs, perfect for strolling and snacking. Enjoy the serene, leisurely atmosphere and escape the hustle of city life.
Ena Gorge Cruise
- Embark on a high-speed jet boat cruise along Ena Gorge to the confluence with the Tsukechi River, reaching Shinnoji Rock. From the boat's windows, enjoy panoramic views of Ena Gorge, showcasing unique rock formations such as Gunkan Rock, Shishi Rock, Byobu Rock, and Shinnoji Rock. Enjoy the scenery of each of the four seasons.
Kokeizan Eihoji The garden is designated as a national scenic beauty spot, the Kannon-do hall and Kaisando-do hall are designated as national treasures, and in front of the main hall is a 700 year old giant ginkgo tree, a natural monument of the city. The autumn leaves at Eihoji Temple have been selected as one of the 33 best autumn colors in Hida Mino area. In autumn, the maple trees in the garden and the large ginkgo tree in front of the main hall turn brilliant colors.
