The Experience
Half Day Plan Let's enjoy the Sagano Romantic Train and Hozugawa River Boat Ride. This also includes a Kyoto-style lunch buffet. The tour ends at Arashiyama after lunch, and you are then free to explore Arashiyama at your leisure.
Full Day Plan For the full day tour, you have free time to explore Arashiyama, which we recommend Togetsu Bridge, the bamboo forest, and Kimono Forest.After that, we'll take a bus to Uji for a Uji matcha (powdered green tea) making experience. Japanese sweets will be provided during this activity and then visit the World Heritage Site Byodoin Temple in the evening. The tour ends at Kyoto Station.
Sagano Romantic Train The Sagano Romantic Train is a wonderful experience to enjoy the beautiful fall colors in the gorge.It takes around 25-minutes, 7.3 km train ride lets enjoy the beautiful views.
Hozugawakudari River Boat Ride Experience the beautiful autumn landscape in Hozu River valley, between Kameoka and Arashiyama. Enjoy gorgeous view of fall foliage.
The boat ride may be canceled due to high water or bad weather. If it's canceled, we'll give you a refund of 4275 yen and visiting Tenryuji Temple after Sagano Romantic Train in the morning.
Arashiyama Arashiyama is one of the popular sightseeing spots in Kyoto. The area has famous places like Togetsu Bridge, the bamboo forest, and Kimono Forest, all with beautiful fall colors.
Tea-making Ceremony Experience You can learn how to make powdered green tea (matcha) in Uji, Kyoto.
Byodoin Temple Byodoin Temple is a top Kyoto spot to see autumn leaves. The vibrant fall leaves surround the pond in front of the temple's National Treasure. Admission fee of Garden and Museum is included. Please note that visiting interior of Phoenix Hall is not included.

- This is not a private tour, you will enjoy the tour with other guests together.
- If the minimum number of participants 20 is not met by 14 days before the scheduled date, the tour on that date might be cancelled.
Important Booking Information

- Please ensure you arrive promptly at the designated meeting time.
- Please be aware that weekends, holidays, and event days may experience high levels of congestion.
- The schedule may be subject to sudden changes or shorter visit durations due to reasons such as traffic congestion.
- Refunds will not be provided if you fail to arrive at the meeting location on time (no show).
- In the event of a natural disaster, such as a typhoon, the tour will be canceled, and a full refund will be issued.
- Please personally take responsibility for your valuables.
- The Hozu River cruise may be canceled on the day of the tour due to rising water or inclement weather. In the event of a cancellation, we'll give you a refund of 5,700 yen and visiting Tenryuji Temple after Sagano Romantic Train in the morning.
- Children under 80cm in height or 0-2 years old are not permitted to join this tour due to the safety regulations of the Hozugawa River Cruise.
