The Highlight

We will welcome Kabuki actor Ukon Onoe to perform as a lecturer. We will explain in detail the history, cultural background, programs, costumes, actors, etc. of Kabuki. Experience and learn choreography while receiving professional guidance.

◆ Mr. Ukon Onoe Born on May 28, 1992. The second son of Kiyomoto Enjudayu, the seventh generation of the Kiyomoto family. His great-grandfather was Kikugoro Onoe VI, and his maternal grandfather was actor Koji Tsuruta. At the age of 7, he made his stage debut as Matsumushi in Kabukiza's Maizuru Setsugekka'' under his real name Kensuke Okamura. At the age of 12, she played the role of Chobei Musume Oku in Shinbashi Enbujo'sNinjo Banashi Shichimoto Yui'' and assumed the name Ukon Onoe II. In January 2018, he assumed the name Kiyomoto Eijudayu.

The Experience

Kabuki Experience

  • This tour offers foreign tourists the chance to immerse themselves in Kabuki, a classical form of drama from the Edo period. Professional Kabuki actors will perform select scenes and provide in-depth explanations of Kabuki's history, the cultural significance of plays, costumes, and actors. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn some choreography under the guidance of the actors.
