Kawadoko, known as a riverbed/riverside terrace is a wonderful way to enjoy the cool breeze by the river during the scorching summer in Kyoto.
Please come and experience at Momiji-ya which was established in 1907. The architecture will give you the nostalgic feel that you cannot feel anywhere else. With amazing Japanese cuisine, you will spend the best time in Kyoto!
This dining experience starts by a shuttle bus pickup from a Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo at 16:45. Indulge yourself in approximately 2 hours of beautiful and delicious Japanese cuisine using local and seasonal ingredients. You will return to the hotel around 21:00.
You can watch Kyoto dance performance by Maiko (pre-Geisha)! You may also talk and take a photo with her! ※Maiko is availabe EVERY NIGHT between 7/1~9/21!

- 16:50Shuttle bus pick up from Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo. Note: bus will pick up at several hotels before arring at Momiji-ya.
- 18:15Arriving at Momiji-ya. Enjoy 2 hours of delicous Japanese cuisine in a Kawadoko setting! You may enjoy Firefly viewing on selected days.
- 20:20Departure from Momiji-ya. Arriving at Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo little past 21:00.

- Shuttle bus will make a multiple hotel stops to/from Momiji-ya.
- Talking and drinking with the Maiko may be canceled at any time.
- For those who have any food allergies, please leave a note on a remark.
- Food will be served 2 to 3 times.
- Food will be provided it in a compact format.
- Groups will have their own separate space. (This is not a reserved floor)
- Since you will be seated on a Kawadoko, it may be chilly depending on the season.
- There is a step up to the Kawadoko seat.
- This facility is not a wheelchair accessible.
- To ensure the health of ryokan employees, they may wear masks when serving.
