Introduction of Traditional craftsman Nobumi MIYAKE Born in 1962 from Kyoto. Nobumi Miyake grew up in an environment where he naturally learned to use paints and brushes from an early age. Influenced by his parents, who are kimono craftsmen, he pursued the path of a gold paint craftsman after graduating from high school. From the age of 18, he decided to become a living national treasure as a kimono craftsman and entered the world of craftsmen. Blessed with the opportunity to create a kimono bridal costume, he has devoted for over 37 years to further improve its beauty and technique. He produces two brands and up to present 10 000 wedding kimonos created. While kimono production is mainly based on division of labor, he is the only Kyo-Yuzen craftsman who consistently produces almost everything from design, total production, dyeing, gold processing, and Raden(螺鈿) in his own workshop. In particular, it is the only technique in the world that uses a unique technique to carve out the inside of shells such as abalone, which is a natural material, to develop Raden(螺鈿) .
