Experience sumo at Asahifuji Dojo, where legends trained. Join real practice with sumo wrestlers, and savor chanko nabe after training. Step into the world of sumo guided by the 63rd Yokozuna.
This traditional dojo is where the 63rd Yokozuna, Asahifuji, trained his disciples for 33 years. Here, in the authentic training hall where four Yokozuna and over ten Sekitori once sweated, you can experience actual training sessions and practice matches with the wrestlers.
Japan's national sport, sumo, boasts a 1,500-year history. Within this tradition, only 75 wrestlers have ever achieved the rank of Yokozuna, and only 70 out of approximately 1,000 sekitori have reached the top division. We offer you the rare opportunity to step onto this special dohyo and interact with wrestlers trained by the 63rd Yokozuna, Asahifuji.
After practice, enjoy a special moment sharing a bowl of chanko nabe, the wrestlers' source of strength. Experience this one-of-a-kind sumo experience, found nowhere else in the world.
Sparring Session: If many participants wish to challenge the former sumo wrestler, we may assign one representative per group or conduct a lottery.
