The Experience

Story & Highlights: Ryusendo is a mystical limestone cave sculpted by water over an eternity. Of the 4,088 meters of currently known passages (with research still ongoing), approximately 700 meters are open to the public. Highlights include the brilliant blue underground lakes (First, Second, and Third lakes) boasting world-class transparency, and various stalactites shaped by natural artistry.

Standard Itinerary (Estimated Duration: approx. 30–40 minutes):

Enter the cave from the reception/entrance gate.

Follow the maintained walking path to observe various stalactites and the underground lakes (1st, 2nd, and 3rd lakes).

Reach the turning point and head toward the exit (after the tour, visitors can also stroll around the surrounding park area and Mineral House).

Some paths and stairs inside the cave may be wet and slippery; comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Important Booking Information

Pets are not allowed inside the cave.

Jacket and raincoat rentals are not available (since the cave temperature is around 10°C year-round, bringing a light jacket or sweater is recommended even in summer).

The cave may be temporarily closed without prior notice due to high water levels or other conditions.
