说明

Over 10,000 Lanterns Illuminate the Night Sky at the Majestic Taga Taisha Manto Festival

  • Taga Taisha is affectionately known as O-Taga-san and is revered as a shrine for long life and good fortune in relationships. The Manto Festival is held to give thanks to the enshrined deities who are believed to protect ancestral spirits in the afterlife.
  • During the festival, around 10,000 lanterns are lit, creating a solemn and magical atmosphere throughout the shrine grounds. The Taiko Bridge, normally off-limits, is specially opened to the public during this time, offering a breathtaking view of the glowing lanterns from above.
  • As the lanterns illuminate the summer night sky, enjoy festive events such as character shows, the traditional Taga Ondo dance, and Omi Sarugaku performances.

Teppanyaki Wagyu Tasting Course Featuring Japan’s Finest: Omi & Hida Beef

  • Indulge in a luxurious teppanyaki dinner featuring two of Japan’s top wagyu brands: Omi Beef, Japan’s oldest and most prestigious beef, known for its exceptional marbling, and Hida Beef, a champion of the Wagyu Olympics.

Menu:

  • Omi Beef Salad
  • Omi Beef Soup Pasta

Enjoy the meal alongside a thrilling fire performance right before your eyes! Teppanyaki Course:

  • Omi Beef Loin Steak (50g)
  • Hida Beef Lean Steak (50g)
  • Omi Beef Rice Burger
  • Specialty! Grilled French Toast with Wheat Gluten

A Scenic Rush to the Sky – The Ibukiyama Driveway

  • The Ibukiyama Driveway is one of Japan’s premier scenic roads, taking you swiftly up near the 9th station of Mt. Ibuki, one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains.
  • This 17-kilometer route offers ever-changing views of lush seasonal landscapes. Along the way, you can take in panoramic views of the towns below, rolling mountain ranges, the vast expanse of Lake Biwa to the west, and—on clear days—the majestic peaks of the Japanese Alps to the east.
  • Before you know it, you’ll arrive near the summit, where delicate alpine flowers bloom and the vivid blue sky stretches endlessly above. No matter how many times you visit, the beauty of Mt. Ibuki always leaves a lasting impression.

Hike to the Summit of Mt. Ibuki – One of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains

  • From the summit parking area, well-maintained trails lead to the peak of Mt. Ibuki (1,377.4m), the highest point in Shiga. Enjoy an easy hike with stunning views and vibrant alpine flowers in summer.
  • With three hiking routes, you’ll walk through colorful meadows and take in panoramic views stretching from Lake Biwa to the distant Alps. The lack of taller peaks nearby makes the summit view truly unforgettable.

Note:

  • The West and Central trails are suitable for casual attire like sneakers and jeans.
  • The East trail is steeper—avoid light gear.
  • Choose your route based on your fitness and condition, as elevation exceeds 1,000m.

Walk Through Japan’s Largest Wind Chime Tunnel & Magical Umbrella Display

  • Wind Chime Tunnel: A 200m-long tunnel filled with thousands of wind chimes, known as a power spot for good fortune, one of Japan’s largest of its kind.
  • Umbrella Light-Up: Over 300 colorful Japanese umbrellas decorate the venue, transforming the space into a vibrant scene by day and a glowing fantasy by night.
