Tokugawaen Tokugawaen is a garden of 44 hectares, consisting of lakes, waterfalls, plants, and trees. They are arranged to symbolize the natural landscape of Japan. You can see cherry blossoms as well as spring flowers, such as Japanese Apricot (ume) and Iris (hanashobu).
Nagoya Castle Nagoya Castle was built by Ieyasu Tokugawa in 1615. The castle was designated as National Treasure No. 1 as a fortress with golden orchids, the largest total floor space in history, the gorgeous Honmaru Palace, and its function as a fortress with an iron wall defense. The castle has been selected as one of the 100 best castles in Japan.
Nagoya Castle Spring Festival There are approximately 1,000 cherry trees of about 10 varieties, mainly Someiyoshino and Shidare-zakura, in the grounds. You can enjoy various events, tea ceremonies, and sweet treats. Along with the fantastic cherry blossoms, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Nagoya Castle that cannot usually be seen.
