Togakushi Shrine Located at the foot of the sacred Mount Togakushi, Togakushi Shrine consists of five shrines—Okusha, Kuzuryu-sha, Nakasha, Hokosha, and Hinomiko-sha—and boasts a history spanning over 2,000 years since its founding. The approach leading from the entrance to Okusha, passing through the Zuishin Gate and lined with cedar trees over 400 years old, is a place everyone should experience at least once. We often hear from visitors that it leaves them feeling refreshed and invigorated. Of the five shrines, we will visit the Main Shrine, Okusha Good Fortune and Fulfillment of Wishes, Kuzuryu Shrine Matchmaking, and Nakasha Academic Success and Household Safety. The walk from the entrance to the Okusha approach (cedar-lined path) to Okusha takes about 40–50 minutes one way.
