The Experience
This tour departs from Tokushima, Kochi, or Ehime. We hike the amazingly steep valleys of Oboke and Iya, and cross the swaying vine bridges. The valleys are home to a system of sustainable agriculture that has persisted for over a thousand years, and you can see thatched cottages dating back to the Edo period.
For lunch, you try your hand at making soba noodles, followed by a relaxing dip in Iya Onsen, accessed by a funicular railway in the deep valley.
This tour is for people who enjoy gentle walking and exploring places of cultural interest with a guide. It’s for people who don’t mind being naked in a bath with strangers.
