The Highlight

Master-Led Experiences: This isn't just a sightseeing tour; it's a hands-on journey. From Authentic Sushi Making to Traditional Lantern Painting, guests learn directly from local artisans.

The Soul of Japan (Noh Theater): A rare opportunity to step inside the Morimoto Noh Stage. This segment offers a deep dive into "Noh," Japan’s oldest performing art, which is a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Scenic Exploration: Guided walks through Ohori Park and the Fukuoka Castle Ruins provide a refreshing balance of natural beauty and historical context, led by professional guides.

The Experience

Sushi-Making Experience at Sushi Sanyo Explanation Session (30 mins): Dive into the rich background of sushi. You will learn about its history and culture, the fresh seafood of Northern Kyushu, and the fascinating regional differences in soy sauce.

Practical Session (60 mins): Experience the entire sushi-making process firsthand while observing a live demonstration by a professional chef. From preparing the shari (sushi rice) and slicing the fish to shaping the nigiri, this is a true highlight of the program that offers you the chance to learn expert techniques up close.

Tasting Session (30 mins): Taste and compare your own handmade sushi with pieces crafted by the chef to experience the difference in technique. The workshop concludes with a special souvenir and a certificate of completion to take home.

Chochin Lantern Painting Experience traditional Japanese lantern painting at Kadota Lantern Shop, located right next to Nakasu-Kawabata Station in the heart of Fukuoka. Under the guidance of skilled artisans, you will paint your own original design on a prepared white paper lantern with brushes and colors. This hands-on workshop welcomes participants of all ages, from children to adults. After painting, your finished lantern will be packed in a special box for you to take home as a unique souvenir.

Fukuoka Yatai (Food Stall) Experience Fukuoka's iconic evening culture at a traditional Yatai (food stall)! Enjoy a special "mini-tasting" exclusive to our tour. If you love the cozy vibe, you can continue Yatai-hopping! Sample Menu: Half-size chewy Gyoza, Half-size Chef's pick, Half-size Tonkotsu Ramen, & 1 drink.

Japanese Mother’s Cooking Class Experience authentic Japanese home cooking in Fukuoka with a welcoming local mother in this hands-on, 3-hour class. You will learn about fresh local produce and traditional Japanese cooking staples. Step into a cozy home kitchen, where you will prepare a range of classic washoku (traditional Japanese) dishes under the personalized guidance of your host.

Noh Experience Uncover the 650-year history of Noh, Japan’s iconic traditional theater from the Muromachi period. Led by Master Tetsuro Morimoto—a designated Preserver of Important Intangible Cultural Property of the prestigious Kanze School—this lesson offers a unique journey to hear its stories, watch its grace, and finally step onto the stage to experience its sacred etiquette firsthand.
