Get ready for an amazing guided cycling adventure through the breathtaking scenery of the Okutama Mountains! This wilderness area is right within the metropolis of Tokyo, and you'll be able to choose different durations and cycling styles to enjoy Tokyo's mountains your way.
Guess what! Tokyo is not just a concrete jungle. In fact, most of it is covered by lush green! Get away from the noise and chaos of the city and discover the tranquil beauty of Okutama, a hidden gem nestled in the mountains of western Tokyo Prefecture.
Your journey begins at Trekkling in Okutama, a locally beloved cycling and trekking company where you'll meet your English-speaking JCTA-certified cycling guide and be fitted with a state-of-the-art e-bike and wireless helmet (allowing conversation between you, the instructor and your fellow participants), ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable ride regardless of your fitness level.
If you're a cycling enthusiast looking for a truly challenging experience, you can opt for even longer and more rewarding routes. You can even go without an e-bike and try a hybrid bike or a mountain bike if you're fit and want to burn off all those delicious Japanese meals! * For other types of bikes than the e-bike the price will vary, so please contact us for more information.
Get ready for an incredible cycling adventure through Okutama's breathtaking landscapes! No matter which course you choose, you'll be awed by the seasonal beauty of the region, from cherry blossoms in spring to fiery red leaves in autumn. You might even spot some native wildlife, like Japanese macaques or serows, adding a special touch of wonder to your journey. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just starting out, this is an experience everyone can enjoy!
