The Highlight

Customized experience museum for the entire town Zentsuji City in Kagawa Prefecture is the birthplace of Kobo Daishi Kukai, a great figure in Japanese Buddhism known to all Japanese people. Born 1,250 years ago, Kukai achieved enlightenment by training in the magnificent natural surroundings of his hometown of Shikoku. Even now, more than 1,200 years after his time, many worshipers who admire Kukai come from all over the world to follow the pilgrimage path he left behind. At five temples related to Kukai in Zentsuji City, you can experience content that allows you to face yourself and hone your five senses, with the themes of Mandara Temple - tactile sense, Shusshaka Temple - visual sense, Koyama Temple - auditory sense, Zentsuji Temple - taste, and Konzo Temple - olfactory sense.

The Experience

  • Kyoto-style Kaiseki Cuisine Naosato We offer course meals that combine the preparation, tableware, and seasonal ingredients to capture the beauty of the Japanese food culture that has been passed down since ancient times. Guests will be entertained by the head chef himself, who has received the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Award and has techniques backed by classics, as well as cuisine that incorporates new ideas. Respect for ingredients, the delicacy of Japanese cuisine, and the depth of flavor. The taste of Nawosato'' cannot be created without any of them.

Among these, Kaiseki cuisine is a delicate and beautiful cuisine that is rarely seen anywhere in the world, condensing the essence of Japanese cuisine and sublimating it to the level of art.
