Receive instruction from a Japanese dojo teacher on karate basics, including tsuki-kiku (hand and foot techniques) and kata, and observe etiquette-based kumite between ranked karate players.
Learn the martial arts principle of "beginning and ending with a bow," while understanding the values of respect, gratitude, and patience embodied in the unique karate greeting, "oshinin."
